On February 2, around 8 pm, a 16-year-old teenager boarded a CNG from Ambarkhana to go to the Medina Market.He is an ASC candidate of Sylhet Border Guard Public School and College in Nagari. She couldn’t say anything about what happened after she boarded CNG. After some time he was taken to an unknown place. Using his mobile phone, he contacted friends and family demanding a ransom of Rs 30,000.
He was dropped back into the Amberkhana area after receiving money the next morning. When he returns it, he sees Amanullah. That means he is taken to the hillside.
This is not a single event. There has long been a CNG-centric vicious cycle active in Sylhet, who are thus targeting ordinary people especially teenagers.
Sad but true, the issue has yet to come to the attention or importance of the administration. The administration’s insistence demands..
Let there be swift action taken against this vicious cycle.

Families need to be more aware of the issue of children and teenagers moving alone.
